Light, it shines brighter than the stars
shining throughout space, n' through our hearts
Bringing hope to our world.
It began our lives,
entering our eyes,
Soothes all but one,
Put the shadows on the run

hide my
faith. I am
afraid of
being criticized.
But do not
follow my example.
Do not hide
your light.
Let your light
of faith shine
bright for all
to see.

the night outside
grows colder
he is sitting
listening to the shadows
move from room
to room
there are edges
along the corners
of the narrowing room
where the yellow
light of the lamp
does not touch
he is tracing
his memory
along the curve
of her wrist
outside
the snow falls
in separate time

Our Valued Lawn
You only really win, having lost.
On the front lawn, all is identical until you notice it.
Every other blade you see its 50 shades greener than your own.
Those shades depend on light. Those blades gleam off light refracted.
