Reckoning
Once sat upon a waveless ocean,
time stood still for lack of motion.
No one spoke for all could see
the guardians of eternity.
Then water slowly turned to glass
ablaze with fire, no soul could pass.
And all knew time at last did bring…
the final day of reckoning.
