Standing sturdy, tall, proud and strong
he is the Kirkby Lonsdale Ram
A symbol of strength, hope, kindness
and the power of unity
Gifted by a generous local man
to the community
Taking centre stage on his stone plinth
he looks straight at you, unfazed

Trumpkin Pumpkin (rehashed)
He has a large orange pumpkin head
a carved out hollow space
Lit up by small candles
an evil expression on his face
His facial features are etched out
triangles for eyes and nose
Sports an uneven, crooked smile
with teeth cut into jagged rows
His name is Jack o lantern
he keeps evil spirits away
Here for the night of Halloween
cast aside by All Saints Day
