In this anonymous city

Dark panelled wood
Etched and knocked with emotion
Holds history behind

Hotel Shower
I look up
Diamond light falls downward
The mist stills time
And I catch you
Clasp the love
Wistful and listless
That drips between us
Naked, exposed and alone
Arms holding knees with unease
against the hotel window
A beautiful view over the city
Meaningless lives scurry below
I tell him it the most important year of his lif...
