Cloth and Club
Bare minimum defence from ice age gales
Black frozen sabre-toothed nights
Hard scratching twigs, unwanted gazes
And chilly waters.
Sheer primitive offence for snared rabbits,
Wild hungry wolves and bears;
Vague weighty threat for rivals, offspring
And difficult women.
