Feeling the needle and the last breath as he looks towards me. At the wrong place in the world. A beer poured on the ground and arms to short to reach.

Another night with filter friends
Sitting in the dark
Howling at the moon
That silent
Heartbreaking scream that no one can hear.
Amber colored fire to keep my soul warm.
The check will come tomorrow.
The high price for living low.
Slow notes dancing
In ears and eyes
Blue smoke drawing
Out the tears that hearts can't spare.
