David, your anger is far from simpleton like; it’s justified, and righteous, especially if it arises from witnessing the suffering of those who are unable to defend themselves.
What’s more, it’s not a destructive anger, it harnesses your creative skills.
In the words of a hymn by Holly Near:
“We are a justice-seeking people
and we are singing, singing for our lives”.
To which I would add: “…and we are fighting, fighting for their lives”.
Please excuse my being a patronising bastard.

I'm still cringing a little at the title of this piece, that said in the moments of writing that is how I felt...I cannot deny.

Graham, I've been a fan of Neil Yong for a long time also. There is something about "Cortez the Killer" that has had me returning to it for years now, it isn't just his guitar work but the entire arrangement builds in an hypnotic fashion that never fails to deliver.
