Unlearning...

Unlearning what has

Ceased to serve,

While still pestered

By the electrified spectres

Of what has been,

Yet faithful footstep

After footstep,

Doubt is allayed,

And, in the distance,

A tabula rasa seems

To gleam, inviting

A lightness of soul

To descend, as when

A dandelion to

The breeze defers...

Dandelions are the champion of all flora travellers! I enjoyed the unburdening theme here - strong opening lines were a nice touch as well. Thank you!

'Decluttering' seems very apt, Stephen! 😎
Thank you so much for your kind words, as always, they are a great source of encouragement! 😊

A 'decluttering' poem, Holden? Beautifully paced, with the last two lines exceptional.
