Endless Clasp of Auryn

"Endless Clasp of Auryn"

In the pause between two heartbeats of night,

a silver serpent drifts—its eyes luminescent with moonlight.

Across its back, shadows gather in slithered allegiance,

its dark twin waiting in every coil.

They meet at the spine of dreams,

fangs brushing tails in a vow without end,

one bite of promise, one taste of remembering,

binding light and shade in an eternal script.

Through the pages of Fantasia’s breath,

their scales ripple with the rhythm of worlds,

each loop a chapter reborn,

each turning of tail a silent invocation of hope.

Here, balance is not stillness but motion—

the dance of beginnings upon endings,

infinite circles spun from longing and wonder,

the Auryn’s pulse glowing in every covert tale.

Good morning Red,
I wanted to share how much I appreciate your poem “Endless Clasp of Auryn.” The imagery you’ve woven — the silver serpent glowing in moonlight, the delicate balance between light and shadow — is both evocative and deeply moving.

I especially admire how you capture the endless cycle of beginnings and endings, not as static opposites, but as a dynamic dance full of hope and renewal. The way the Auryn pulses through the verses, symbolising eternal connection and balance, lends the poem a timeless and almost magical quality.

Your choice of words feels precise and meaningful, inviting readers to linger in the space between the lines, where dreams and reality intertwine. It’s a beautiful meditation on duality and the enduring rhythms that shape our world.

Best regards,
Rolph

I really love the clarity of this poem.
I am a big fan of celtic art and these looping knots fascinate me.
The words here are so well chosen, fitting the symbolism of endless movement and the yin yang feel of light and shade, night and day, waxing and waning.
Thank you for sharing this.

A symbol with Celtic origins, I believe, RBK.
