My heart learned to tolerate

entry picture

Deadly sobs...

I cannot reason the ferocious cowardice of mankind,

my verses have been dishonored,

blighting my poetic task

My tears stipulate deep anguish in the depths of my heart;

It’s a colorless wail that increases my belittled pain

Challenged by those living undercover;

seditious words of insensitivity,

full of hatred, shadows, malediction

False looks,

fake smiles invade my nights without asking;

not requesting  audience or permission to enter;

throwing me into gloom,

where reality is never visible to others

What good is dreaming if there’s no peace in the world?

I always seek to rise in truth,

in the verses that I can evoke

sharing with my muse, trying to provide a bridge to the rational

and in my hands grasp the sublime beauty

My heart learned to tolerate
