Hold me in your fragile arms once more

A tear, a touch, a kind word

softly spoken

And then, with you,

My love passed away

Into a dark envelope

Of stillness

Of silence

The world flickered past

Uncaring and unfeeling

Hazy and dreamlike

Not real to me until

I lay you gently down to rest

And I yearn for you

To hold me in your fragile arms

Once more.

Hi Neil, thanks for your comment. Yes, I'm in Bolton so Winter Hill shapes our days. I like the Hold me in your fragile Arms.. poem a lot particularly the "dark envelope of stillness" line, very evocative. Jane
