PARK BENCH
park bench
with a view
some that sit there
don't see it, mind
with their heads hung low
and a can is left
to prove the point
that their story we'll never know.

Thanks a lot Lynn. x
Fulsome praise Stu. I was going on to say about old ladies not using them so much and it would have meandered on , so this is the short version. To get poem of the week would be a leg up so to speak, and its very selfless of you to suggest this. I'll pay for a T shirt!

Hi Ray
Enjoyed very much.
Lynn x
this is excellent ray. you have cut to a really pressing and philosophical point using brevity as your sword. i have more images in my mind from this small piece than i garnered from the entire issue of poetry review i read yesterday. lets start a campaign for this to be poem of the week. i will print the t-shirts.

Ray,reminded us of a similar one we did back in 2013.
Hamelin man.
Just updated it with one of these-©-which we never used back then. The actual poem opens with the words of your title.
Great poetic minds oft-times think alike-me/wethinks.
