Rock and Roll and Mobile Phones

Rock and Roll and Mobile Phones

Although I am an oldie

I like to keep me fit

Body muscles, neurons

And all the rest of it

I hear you thinking, gym freak

Needs his body-tweak

He goes to gym at crack of dawn

To weight-lift, girly-seek

(Girls sensible....still in bed)

No it's not from make-out bikes

That I get my tone

It's on the dance floor rock and rolling

(Minus mobile phone)

I have a strong objection

To dancers holding phones

And taking couple-selfies

For family-sending home

Think of what could happen

If selfie got to wife

Dancing with some floozy

Shit, imagine strife

It's obvious I'm rambling

But I am having fun

A poet writes for themselves, yes?

That's what they tell us son

But I'm an oldie.......

Thankyou all for your comments and likes. You'll be pleased I don't carry my phone when dancing. Can't hear it ring above the band....?

Keep your phone there
In your hand
While you do
The twist
Write out loud
Another rhyme
But Please Don
Mind your
Wrist ?
