I like the equilibrium of his caps, Desmond. Good post.

Attila the Stockbroker has made a good living from poetry - no workshops involved. I'd recommend any poet to read his autobiography, which I reviewed for WOL:
https://www.writeoutloud.net/public/blogentry.php?blogentryid=50949
for tips on how to do it. It's also a hugely interesting read besides that.
It's serious graft, but it can be done.

Oh I like this. Proper resonates with me. I've always been painfully aware of the now, it pounds into you without mercy should you ever take your eye off the ball.
There's a lovely flow of sonics in the first three verses.

Beautiful and compelling - in a league of its own. A poem that feels like a release of life force Laura. Need I say more? Probably not, as I get carried away with comments.
Embroidering memory especially spot on.

Thank you Hannah. When we hand anyone the reins we give power to that person; and I am of two minds as to the interplay in these situations. In church, or in a surgery we bow to supremacy (maybe imagined). I'm very pleased it worked for you! To inspire is my desire by the way.

A splendid poem Tony . I love the whole idea of the ivy listening. As ray says there is definitely something Orwellian about CCTV and how all those images are used in public sites that are a definite mixed blessing.

Superb personal blog, Rachel.
I should have picked up 'the Painter'. I do have a Spanish' dictionary too. Got stuck on 'pint' meaning 'small' - in English.
When I was serving at the counter of our shop in Bermuda, I bent over for something under the counter, and rose to meet the face of the most beautiful girl/woman I had ever seen. And I said, without a thought, almost a prayer: 'Oh, my God, you are beautiful!'
I think she was of mixed race, with a slight slant of eyes and an oval face. She was a bit embarrassed but not cross, and we continued without
any further personal comments. I'll never forget her.

So sorry to hear of the passing of your father.

It's a short poem Wardah but it speaks volumes.
It talks of a restless soul that's desperate to find
of comfort and trust; to touch deep meaningful love. And do I also see unfulfilled desires ? Perhaps time to move on...
This is turning out into a nice series.
